How can I get involved?

You can get involved by attending our monthly meetings, joining PFLAG Modesto, writing letters to your representatives, and educating yourself. Contact us for more volunteer opportunities.

Are gays and lesbians welcome at meetings?

PFLAG meetings are open to everyone. Gay, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people are especially welcome.

Where and when do you meet?

PFLAG meetings are the first and third Tuesdays of the month at Emanuel Lutheran Church on the corner of College and Stoddard , across from Modesto Junior College. Meetings are 7 pm to 9 pm.

Where can I find literature?

PFLAG publishes a wide variety of literature ranging from "Why is My Child Gay?" to "Read This Before Coming Out to Your Parents". This is available on the internet; at our monthly meetings, or by calling PFLAG-SF at 415-981-8850. Books, videos and audio cassettes are also available for loan at our meetings.

Do you have Spanish-speaking services?

Yes, we have a volunteer with Spanish skills available to help individuals who have limited English abilities. Contact the helpline at 527-0776 or info@pflagmodesto.org .
